Malaysia gets world’s first Japanese cold chain logistics standard

A ceremony was held to present the certificate for a Japan-style cold chain logistics standard in Malaysia, which is the first in the world.
It was acquired by TASCO YUSEN GOLD COLD SDN BHD (TYGC), a cold chain logistics company under the Malaysian subsidiary of Yusen Logistics Co., Ltd.

In the fast-growing ASEAN market, demand for cold chain services is on the rise as dietary habits diversify. That is why the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) has been working since June 2020 to expand the Japanese cold chain logistics service standard, JSA-S1004, in ASEAN.
