Cultivating Muslim market demand with halal supplement packaging

WHEA-STONE is the first in Japan to be certified halal for its plastic containers.
The firm expects demand for high-quality Japanese supplements to grow globally. By certifying halal, it aims to cultivate this demand in the Islamic world.

WHEA-STONE, manufacturer and distributor of plastic containers and more, acquired halal certification for its production line of plastic containers for food supplements from the Nippon Asia Halal Association.

The firm has now completely eliminated all animal-derived ingredients, which were once found in small traces in its existing products, to meet the requirements for halal compliance. By making the containers used to pack supplements into HALAL-compliant, safer Japanese supplements will be available to the overseas Islamic market.

It is also considering certifying cosmetic containers in the future, in line with market demand.
