Halal corner at Lawson convenience store near Toyama Mosque

This Lawson convenience store in Toyama Prefecture has a halal food corner to cater for Muslim customers. It all started when the manager noticed how Muslim customers struggled to buy food since she got the position 5 years ago.

Lawson’s Shinminato-Tsubatae store is located in Imizu in Toyama Perfecture, which is called “Imizu-stan” for its unique culture with many Pakistani Muslims living in the area. You can also find the Toyama Mosque across the store.
Once you enter this store along the national road, you can find a “halal foodstuffs are available” sign; the shelves lined up with halal products. All items are certified halal in their producing countries.
